Members of the Welcome Committee reach out to new parishioners to welcome them to the parish, via phone calls and visits. A volunteer initially calls to offer welcome and ask if the new member has any questions. A second volunteer calls to arrange a visit, either at the new parishioner's home, or at the church, to drop off a welcome gift and information about Ss. John and Paul Parish. This visit will include conversation about the many opportunities to get involved in parish life, and answering any questions the new family may have.
Coordinators receive a list of new families from the parish office for a certain geographical area and assign a nearby volunteer to visit each new family. Volunteer visitors are paired with new parishioners who live in the same community, so this is an opportunity to meet your new neighbors! Contact Laurie Delvaux if you would like to be a part of this ministry.
