Hosted by Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church
and St. Joseph Catholic Church
By being part of this you will have the opportunity to put your faith into action, learn about yourself, grow in faith and become more aware of and better equipped to respond to the justice needs in our world and community.
Staycation Details: This will take place Monday, July 25 and Tuesday, July 26. Each day will go from approximately 8:00 am to 6:30 pm. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Faith Development Center social room at Ss. John and Paul Parish. Check-in will be from 7:00 to 8:00 am. Youth can be picked up at 6:30 pm. Use the 13th St SE entrance to enter the north parking lot for drop-off and pick-up.
Youth will spend their two days working on projects inside and outside, to spread joy to the residents at Prairie Vista Village, help our community, experience faith development, and have some social fun time as well.
Travel: Projects will take place at various locations throughout the community, and we will car pool with adult chaperones as needed.
Meals: Youth are encouraged to eat breakfast before arriving. Each participant should bring a sack lunch each day, as well as a refillable water bottle for use throughout the day. St. Joseph & Ss. John and Paul will provide some individually wrapped snacks and the evening meal.
Cost: Cost for this experience is $20 for all participants.
Registration: Registration forms can be found under the Documents heading. Please turn in your registration and consent forms and payment to the parish office or place in the collection basket at the weekend liturgies by Tuesday, July 5th.
Chaperones: Diocesan regulations require that we have at least one chaperone for every six youth, so we will need parents (or other adults 21 and over) to chaperone. Please indicate your availability on the application.
If you have any questions, please contact Kristina Frank or Dave Dixon.
