Each Tuesday of Lent we have Mass at 5:30 pm, followed by a simple soup supper in St. Francis Hall. We encourage you to sign up in the gathering space to bring a crock pot of soup to share for one or more of the evenings. You may also choose to sign up to bring bread or simple relishes.
It is appreciated if those who volunteer to bring soup or fixings for a particular Tuesday also help with set up and clean up on that day.
The simple meal is a way to support a ministry that helps the poor around the world. As a parish we will support Mary’s Meals. We eat a meal with our parish family and Mary's Meals collection cups are on the table for a free-will offering to help those in need.
This year we will also offer the opportunity to pick up a copy of the book, An Introduction to Prayer, in the gathering space, and invite you to read one section of the book each week of Lent. Some of the tables will be set up with discussion questions and all are invited to join in a conversation about the book over a warm bowl of soup.
Dates of the soup suppers are March 11, 18, 25, and April 1, 8 and 15.
